About Us
Misconceptions about being a small business owner or leading a non-profit organization are too many to count. The reality is that you work harder and shift between many hats, dozens of times a day – from ‘strategic leader’ to ‘front-line customer service’ and even ‘office janitor’.
Appreciating this reality takes knowing it. In early 2009, a small group of business owners began talking about ways to support one-another. They recognized the need to have a supportive, collaborative group that brought together the dynamic mix of professionals from the various industries, vocations and trades making up our community. And it was in this recognition that they formed the Putnam Business Association, with the commitment to promote and publicize business and/or organization in Putnam, CT or which services the community of Putnam, CT through a unified advertising, public relations, and promotional campaigns to encourage the growth and success of all members of the Association.
Today, the Association is honored to have 200-active members.
In an effort to attract more visitors, the Putnam Business Association is proud to be the exclusive sponsor of “DiscoverPutnam”. DiscoverPutnam was created by and on behalf of PBA members to serve as an advertising and marketing campaign through which the community would gain increased exposure as a premiere tourist destination in Connecticut and New England.
